This wiki supports collaborative student research projects in undergraduate music courses that result in products based in virtual worlds or other interactive environment. The projects will primarily be recreations of historical musical venues and events. The projects are proceeding on a pilot basis for now, and are serving further research at Palm Beach Atlantic University in the feasibility and efficacy of such collaborative projects on student learning on both sides of the producer/consumer cycle.
The primary project at this time is by three PBA students who were inspired by Liszt's account in his biography of Chopin to recreate Chopin's apartment in Rue Chaussée d'Antin and present a typical musical evening hosted by Chopin. You will find more information about this project within the pages of this wiki.
The wiki provides:
- a place for students to collaborate: sharing resources, drafting and revising documents, discussing ideas.
- a way for students to log the project
- a public interface to the project
- a place for students to post media and other products that grow out of the project
